The daily tribute

Some of the helpful concepts I internalized came only in the last couple of years, a heavy rain of ideas that reshaped myself to the better in the sense of hardworking and goal accomplishment.

It’s not enough to understand the idea, you have to act upon its guidance. No skipping days, no “rest” days. You want success, you put yourself into it.

That’s probably the harder part, with which I personally struggled for a few months, slowly upping my own rate of productivity per a unit of time.

So how is it done? How can you quit the wasteful search for self betterment and actually do stuff that you’ll find fun and beneficial for yourself ?

I can’t tell you what things you find fun and interesting, only you can. So grasp those with your mind, and continue reading.

The message is bound to be found in many places.

I see it repeated in self-help textbooks in one form or another.

I see it repeated by successful people.

I see it echoed by good works, by good hands, by past writers and artists and scientists. Such a simple idea that requires so much hard work, I have no doubt why success is so daunting.

There is a basic outline to what must be done, and additional tips are given regarding specific fields of interest in which the advice seeking individual wants to succeed – be it art, mathematics, comedy or whatever.

You take the thing you really want to be a master of, and practice it, daily. You challenge yourself, you work hard, and as I said, you don’t take days off, no matter what. The thing you desire the most is your passion, and there is a price to pay if success is sought.

Depending on the thing you want to be a master of, you take a decent amount of time every day to practice it. Find good ways to challenge yourself, do not flinch at the sight of hard work, it’s all for the better. If the work you do is too easy, little to no progress will be done.

You’ll be proud of yourself to have accomplished so much (I know I am!), and that happiness will follow daily as you continue the practice.

When you feel comfortable about your own progress, increase the difficulty of the work by either giving it more time, or bringing harder challenges upon yourself.

Success is indeed daunting.
